“Hey! Dick Dale don’t do that shit!”
June 3rd 2006 by E..
It’s been a while, and I have to leave for work very shortly. so this may have to be continued later tonight when I get home…
This weekend was the first weekend of our annual Coca Cola Festival…we have all sorts of really cool Coke stuff that we add to already large stock of Coke stuff especially for the Festival…Of course The Main Fizz will be doing a live review, as if anyone at the store cares!…Seriously, there are a few pictures that will be up on my sister site for all to see…speaking of our store, our most famous customer came in last Saturday…Dan Roebuck, who has been in a million TV shows and a million and one movies…you can follow this link to visit Dan’s IMDb page and see all the stuff he’s done…visiting our store, is mysteriously not on the list…
So up until now, all of that was written at around 11 this morning…now it’s 20 after 12, and I’m ready to finish this post, no matter how long it rambles, which may be long, so brace yourself…now!
My last day of workstudy at XPN was Tuesday…I’ll be starting again there on June 19th, which is right before Robert’s birthday (so I have to look for something to get him for said birthday!)…since it was my last day, Sarah let me go into the prize closet and grab a bunch of CD’s for myself…I got Paul Simon’s new album, Gomez’s album, and new albums from World Party and Gran Bel Fisher…all that in addition to the way too many albums I put onto Dad’s 1 GB jumpdrive…after all, I have a class trip and flights to and from Las Vegas before I am at XPN again, so I needed to stock up on music!
Wednesday we had graduation rehearsal, which was a pain in the ass, but it was kinda fun in a way…the teachers directing us take it way too seriously, and we are all having a good time, whether they like it or not…got my cap and gown, and my yearbook, too…the yearbook looks nice, but I guess I’m a little unfazed by it because I worked on it, and I have seen all of the pages in it ad nauseum…oh well…
Wednesday night was Prom, and I got my super cool tuxedo which (in my opinion) made me look like a magician…not that that’s a bad thing…Meredith looked absolutely stunning…but please, don’t believe me…I’ll include a picture of the two of us (as well as a picture of me and Dan Roebuck) at the end of this post, since I don’t want to futz this post up with html codes…Prom was pretty fun…the limo ride was not the best experience for me…I rode in a backward-facing seat from Lower Merion to Voorhees, NJ…about 40 minutes, and I didn’t feel well at all…but I got better in time for pictures and dancin’ and socializing…it was pretty neat…Prom was at The Mansion, which is a very elegant sort of place, and it made me sort of sad that we were ruining the classy atmosphere with the shitty music, but what was I supposed to do about it?…Post-prom was at Leah Meadvin’s house, which is just outside of Medford, and right in the middle of nowhere…a bunch of us who either didn’t change our clothes or changed quickly were hanging around the pool outside, and that was a lot of fun…once everybody else came, it was not as enjoyable, but again, what are you gonna do?
I didn’t stay over at Leah’s like most other people did because I had to go to a concert the next night (last night)…Dad and I saw Dick Dale at Sellersville Theatre 1894…speaking of the middle of nowhere…each time we go there (this time was our third), Dad says that we are never going here again…without exaggeration, the place gets harder and harder to find each time we go…whatever…Dick Dale was really good…he’s an incredible guitar player, and if he would shut up for a bit onstage, he could have gotten in a bunch more songs…I got a picture of him signed, and a FezSpotting pic, even though the Cult of the Eye website already has a picture of him wearing a Fez…like the other pictures, this one will be at the bottom of this post…
Today was one of the worst days at Zerns in a while…usually, when it’s nice outside there aren’t many customers…when it did start raining, we got a little spurt of people, but it was too late for it to make much difference…
Arts in the Park is Sunday, and I am very much looking forward to going…Caitlin and I are going to see Sons of Pitch and Up the Octave (the two a cappella groups from Cheltenham High School), Green Pepper (as Aaron describes them: “large-scale Cheltenham ska”) and The Paisley Haze Quintet…
I’m tired, and I want to make sure you see these pictures, so goodnight!

What a goofy life I lead!

Lyric of the Time:
Makin’ a living the old hard way
Takin’ and giving by day by day
I dig snow and rain and bright sunshine
Draggin’ the line
