We’ll Remember Always…
June 12th 2006 by E..
So much has been going on, and I just lost a really long post telling you all about it, so I will do my best to think of all that I just typed…pictures at the end, as usual…
Last Monday we left for our Senior Trip…we went to Paramount Park King’s Dominion, which is about an hour away from Virginia Beach…it was better than I would have expected…there are a few themed rides and areas (like a Happy Days diner), which definitely put it a step above a generic theme park, but there wasn’t as much theming as Disney (but what do you expect?)…My favorite ride was the new one themed to the movie “The Italian Job”, which was pretty fun…the vehicles are Mini Coopers, and it is a small-scale (but no less entertaining) roller coaster…after we left King’s Dominion, we went to Virginia Beach proper for the rest of our trip…again, it was a lot better than I thought…the area reminded me of Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Canada, with shops and restaurants and attractions all along one main road and a few surrounding blocks…our hotel was right at the ‘Boardwalk”, which was really made of concrete, and faced the lovely beach and ocean…we were pretty unrestricted as to what we could do to keep ourselves occupied, so we went to the beach, we shopped, we went to Dairy Queen, Aaron and I rented a surrey (which, in case you don’t know, is a two person side-by-side bicycles with a steering wheel and a covered top)…we also went Pirate Mini Golfing, since there’s nothing wrong with that…The one thing that I’ve been telling everyone is this: you know how in many cities and towns there is a Neighborhood Watch?
