This post is my FACE

I should have known…There was no way that I would get around to writing about the end of the school year last week…but all that aside, here it goes:

Moving out of the dorms was a project, and it didn’t help that my R.A. was nowhere to be found for the last few weeks of school…everything worked out, no thanks to him, but that’s all done now…

Finals were less that spectacular…that is, nothing to make a fuss about…I thought they went well (in fact, my computer lab teacher sent me a few e-mails during my last Y-Rock shift…oh how I create an audience)…

Apparently, I was involved on campus so much that I won the “Most Outstanding Freshman 2006-2007″ award…that title comes with a trophyman, which looks like this:

I need to get this guy a shirt...

Having never exactly won anything from a school, this was a neat compliment…On top of all that, this first year of college was pretty good, and I say pretty good because I hope that the coming years will be even better…I hereby dedicate this past year to all of those who said that I will hate my first year in college and that I will wish I never even considered going in the first place…to all you, I say ‘PPPTTHHHHH’…Now it’s a matter of going through all of the stuff from my dorm (which may or may not have a layer of sawdust on top of it)…

I am the new Y-Rock Intern (or Production Assistant, as I prefer)…I still have my Friday shift, as well as some assorted filling in (as I did yesterday)…I also cut up flyers, do MySpace stuff, and other jobs as needed…I think it will be a good change of pace, which is not to say that I was growing tired of World Café stuff (I wasn’t, I swear!)…

Speaking of, the first lineup announcement for the XPoNential Music Festival presentedbySubaru was made yesterday…Some of the artists that will be featured are Tower Of Power, Marc Broussard, The Fratellis, Fountains Of Wayne, Cracker and many more…I’m kind of upset that Cold War Kids aren’t on the bill (yet), but then again, New York Dolls were announced a few days after the initial announcement last year, so I have my fingers crossed…the whole lineup is here, and you’ll hear me and everyone else playing the heck out of all of the artists who will be there for the next two and a half months…

Erin and her friend Nikki and I went to Willow Grove Mall on Saturday…as the only guy it was their obligation to take me into the girly stores, but at least they weren’t the stores with one of each item out on a table…I remember when I was dragged into Hollister (which I first though was a restaurant with that little porch) and I saw the tables with shirts and pants all scattered about…I wasn’t sure if they had opened yet…the stores we went to must have been cool, since we heard one of them play Amy Winehouse…that’s cool, right?

Thursday, I’m going to be volunteering at the Arctic Monkeys show at The Factory, and then Saturday it’s back to The Factory for Elvis Costello and the Imposters…I can’t wait, hooray!

As the summer creeps in, I am looking more and more forward to going to Disneyland…it seems like it’s all that we can talk about (which is not surprising)…

That’s about it for now…Maybe I’ll take pictures at those shows that I talked about before…
