Foot Meets Door

After classes today, I went down to XPN to help Gene Shay record some stuff for Folk Alley…I got there early, so I talked to

 and

for a little bit before any real work got done…When Gene got to the station, he had a gift for Kathy O’Connell, namely some display pieces that were formerly found in the Museum of Living History, a museum set up for the Bicentennial, housed in the building that would later become the home of WHYY (where Gene used to work, hence his acquisition of the pieces)…Kathy loves radio history stuff, and these photo display pieces were perfect for her…

Day 22 - September 4th, 2007

After that, Gene and I went Upstairs for dinner, and caught a few live peformances from our friends the Bob Beach Trio and our new friends, Tin Bird Choir

I talked to Dan Reed (XPN’s Music Director and all-around swell guy) about my availability for various jobs…and that’s all I’m going to say…

I got the CD’s from Amazon that I ordered, because I apparently need a lot more music…songs from these will likely appear in an upcoming Friday 5…they are:

The Damned - Damned Damned Damned
The Reindeer Section - Y’all Get Scared Now, Ya Hear!
Uncle Tupelo - No Depression
Oingo Boingo - Boi-Ngo
Soft Cell - Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret

and I also got Thurston Moore’s new solo album, but that’s a different story…

One more thing…today in my Media Technology class, we played around in PhotoShop…well, I did, while the people around me watched in shock/shock/horror/horror…we all started with the same picture of a comptuer keyboard, a ball bearing, and a gauge of some sort…here’s what I came up with…

It's Time To Clean Up This Mess!

This is going to be a good semester…

Lyric of the Time:
If I told you things I did before
Told you how I used to be
would you go along with someone like me?
If you knew my story word for word
Had all of my history
Would you go along with someone like me?
