Veg Outlaw

As anyone who has been to my house knows, one of the most beloved rooms is the Disney Room…originally located in the room that would become mine, my parents’ collection of Disneyana might not be the biggest, but its scope is certainly impressive…from trinkets from overseas Parks to relics from the lost Disney’s America, as long as Stitch isn’t on it, we probably have it…Saturday, the newest addition to the Disney Room came in the mail…

Day 256 - April 26th, 2008

All the birds sing words and the flowers croon

A Creepy Smiling Tiki Mickey is just what was missing from our collection…of course, he won’t be the newest addition for long…soon enough we’ll have some new find to place in the ever-shrinking empty space in there…

Sunday night’s Folk Show featured one of our favorite performers, Pat Wictor…the session went very well, and the rest of the evening was pretty uneventful…that is, of course, until we went out for dinner to celebrate it totally not being Passover anymore!…where else but IHOP would one go to stuff himself silly with food he couldn’t eat all week?…of course, the irony was that, on the Specials board, it said this:

Day 257 - April 27th, 2008

Pancakes for one are no fun

Two things: if you’re keeping Passover, and you need Matzo, you’re not going to IHOP…just the same, if you’re going to IHOP, you ain’t getting no Matzo…geez…

Monday, I turned in my final Radio project, which I think went really well…the project was a documentary, so I did a sort of sendup of “This American Life” and interviewed the one and only Gene Shay…you can hear the results here (and I am quite proud of how it turned out)…after that, I took the lab proficiency quiz, which also went very well…we had to record a bit of audio to play around with during the quiz…I ended up saying something like, “See my face? Ain’t it great? Ain’t it great to have a great big face?”…not sure where on Earth that came from, but I thought it was pretty funny…

That evening, it rained like all get-out, and I don’t even know what that means…I guess the rain was pretty intense, since the light over an electrical room back at Ambler was flashing while I was on my way to class…

Day 258 - April 28th, 2008

Ahoooooga!!

Now that the Y-Rock e-mail system is back online, I have some things to send…

Tonight I’m going to the Pub for Zayde’s birthday, and because I’m overdue for eating in the company of taxidermy…

Finals schedule is weird, just like the initial lineup for this summer’s XPoNential Music Festival

Lyric of the Time:
You follow the skyway
You follow your right-of-way
You follow the streets and the cars
And the shadows and the stars
